Question: Ok. I'm about to open a can of worms here, so ladies (as well as whipped men), feel free to complain and moan at me all you want! heh heh. Guys, haven't you noticed that the majority of wrecks you see are caused by or involved with women? I can never understand how they can get lower insurance rates but be the cause of the majority of wrecks, especially the teenage girls. Plus most of them drive like they don't have a care in the world. Any thoughts? Ladies, you can call me sexist all you want, but the question still stands. heh heh. I knew I would piss off a few ppl. Hmm, the majority of answers state it's because of statistics. Reality check people: statistics don't mean squat! Know why it shows more women are safe drivers? Because us guys report claims more than women, so the numbers seem less. Here's my opinon: The reality is that if insurance was higher then men's, or even as much as men's, women would scream about discrimination like they do everything else. There's my two cents, take it or leave it.

Answer: All insurance rates are gathered by actuaries. They gather thier information from actual accidents & then plot trends. Unfortunately, men are statisctically in more accidents, and much more costly accidents. However, females are slowly catching up due to the rise of cell phones.

Question: In Europe the European courts have already ruled it unfair. google "Cheaper insurance for women ruled unfair" Wtf? Women are horrible drivers. I've only been in one accident my entire life of driving and it wasn't my fault, a WOMAN backed into me as I was passing a parking lot. Apparently that wasn't the first time she did that either. One other time a WOMAN almost crashed into me on the free way, she wanted to get into my lane but apparently she didn't see me and just without using a turn signal just decided to turn into my lane and luckily i was paying attention and was able to break soon enough and she probably came within inches of her back side smashing into my side. it caused me to break suddenly which made the car behind me break suddenly and honk his horn, i honked my horn and the lady in front of me was apparently clueless to the world. Anyways the reason "if this is true because I don't believe it" men might have more accidents is because they're more likely to become drunk. Men drink and drive more, not only that but they probably like to show off more. rates should be higher for people like them, not all men. Gender biases are unconstitutional because that's prejudice. Also it's a total lie that women make less money than men. when i waited tables, the women got all the good tips from men. while i generally just got the minimum tip. not only that but sometimes if i was dealing with another male, sometimes they didn't give me a tip at all especially if they were drunk or some scruffy looking truck driver trying to hit on the other girls. But if one of those hot girls waited on them, they would sometimes give them a tip that was more than the food that they ordered! I think it's all bs. and of course completely racist. Why does america allow this? You know in some countries they don't allow women to drive. MAYBE it's because they're bad drivers!!! For those of you who agree with discrimination. Statistically Blacks and Hispanics commit more crimes than Whites. So should Police target Blacks and Hispanics more than Whites?

Answer: Unless you want to pay the same tax rates as a millionaire . . . Unless you want to pay the same for life insurance as an 80 year old guy . . . Unless you walk into a restaurant, and take whatever they serve without complaining . . . Unless you are just as happy wearing a pink party dress to work, as a suit . . . You, too, believe in discrimination. You probably just don't understand what the word means. It means, telling the difference between one thing, and another. Racist, also, you seem to have confused - it means, judging someone by their race. Your post, however, makes you sound like a misogynist. There is FAIR discrimination - like when you order a glass of coke, rather than a glass of sour milk . . . or when people with higher claims as a group, are charged more than people with lower claims (yes, 100,000 women will have fewer dollars paid out in claims than 100,000 men - the spectacular accidents that total cars and cause massive damages and kill people, are much more common to men drivers - women tend to have small dollar claims like the one that hit you). Now, you can either put your big boy undies on and get on with life, or keep whining about it and sounding like a 16 year old.

Answer: No. Insurance companies are not in the business of losing money. They hire mathmaticians in the specialized field of "actuarial science" to calcuate what their rates should be. They study probability. You know - are you more likely to get into a car accident if you smoke, if you drink, if you are male, if you are female, if you have speeding tickets, etc. Women have lower insurance rates because they are less likely to get into an accident - period. One could conclude that they are better drivers, however, you have to bear in mind, if a man and a woman are together, often the man drives, which can skew things a bit. Women do tend to do better at multitasking, and keeping track of multiple cars around you in traffic is multitasking. Women tend to be more cautious than men, and thus drive less agressively. I think there is just a little too much to write this off to men driving more than women. Your insurance rates are based on how likely you are to get into an accident (i.e. how likely is it that the insurance company is going to have to pay an insurance claim to you). They can show their math to prove why women get a better rate. Can you show your math as to why men should?
