Best girls' car insurance deal?

Question: What's the cheapest car insurance available in the UK for a 25 year old woman with 6 points on her licence? Do any of them do shorter term contracts than 12 months? Ford Focus, 2005, 1.6 litre petrol engine.

Answer: Admiral Insurance came out cheapest for me (I'm 28 and female so probably quite a similar quote) They are now offering 10 month policies. They also own the Diamond Brand which is aimed at women only so that also may be a good one to check.

Are there only Women at Insurance Companies?

Question: -I know there are men working in insurance, what I mean is: -Is there a reason that the insurance industry seems to be dominated by females, as opposed to most other industries? I've been dealing lately with car insurance, health insurance, worker's comp insurance, for some reason all at the same time, and I just realized I can't remember the last time I heard a guy on the line. Every single person, from the customer service reps, to the specialists, to the managers and claims adjustors ---ALL Females! I must have talked to 30 women from insurance companies over the last month. Then I remembered 2 of my best friends wives BOTH work for different insurance companies, and another buddy who has a girlfriend working at an insurance company. I don't have a problem with it or anything, but I'm curious if there's a reason for it. Is there something about the field that works with mothers schedules or something? Is there something about insurance that feels like a "helping people" position? Considering Inurance is a form of security, is it related to the female need to feel secure? Or is it just that most customers would rather have a sweet soft voice on the line, than some dude. ;p It's a little ironic, when you consider that with pregnancy and sexual harassment, it seems women would be more prone to have claims against their employer, thereby necessitating....INSURANCE! lol. Thanks.

Answer: Until the early 1980's, the insurance industry was dominated by males, in every area from CEO's to agents. Women who were hired as something other than a secretary or assistant were rare. Something very important happened in the 1980's, class action lawsuits. Several were filed and major companies lost. Those class action lawsuits were specifically against those insurance companies who denied females the same opportunities as males. Amazingly, opportunies for women began opening and insurance companies started rushing to find women to manage agencies, underwrite, perform actuarial services, etc. Today, you're witnessing the result of what happens when women are educated and given opportunities in well paid positions with fair benefits and appreciation for their services. BTW, a statistic was just released that women with undergraduate degrees have just bypassed men for the first time in history.

Question: Hi, i was driving into a car park and a women suddenlly reversed out of a bay without even looking and put a dent in my car, she even admitted that she didnt look, she only had a few scratches on her car, although she was really fiesty and kept trying to blame me for it! I am 18 and my insurance excess is £450.. does this mean im going to have to pay that £450?? I really dont understand what to do? I HATE insurance its so confusing.. I have her details andshe has my details.. although the most damage is on me.. what will happen? do i have to pay anything?

Answer: Hey, you have the same problem as i did but mine was on a main road, the accident isn't your fault you were on the road before hand so.its your right of way she reversed out which makes her liable the car park should have cctv if you get a bit bother just ask your insurance co.. as for the excess you can pay it now to get your car fixed now and claim it back from the 3rd partys insurance, if you haven't claimed it do it now. p.s insurance companies can blow me (had to say it lol)
