Why does it cost more for a man to get automobile insurance than it does a woman to get car insurance?

Question: I know back in the 80s it was because men were in more car accidents, but nowadays, it's about the same, yet men pay more for their insurance than women do? At least that's the way it works in Canada.

Answer: men are known to drive faster and are not as cautious as woman that is what happens when you are a man

In Canada can you be charged for leaving the scene of an accident if your car door hits someone else's door?

Question: A person hit another person's car door when she opened her car door in a mall parking lot. There is a small scratch. She knows this other woman, and told her she would pay. Now the woman has had a cop call her and he states he's charging her unless she gives her insurance info to him over the phone. This person thinks its a scam and needs to know asap if she can be charged. Any answers would really be appreciated.

Question: This case is located in Ontairo, Canada The car accident happened in December of 2009. The other driver did not stop at a stop sign and hit the innocent parties car. The woman has had shoulder damage and has been attending physio since the accident (that is being paid by the guilty parties insurance) It is not helping and she may not be able to work for the rest of her life. Lost wages estimate $26,000 gross per year for the next 15 years. Pain and suffering want to be included in the case when they sue the guilty parties insurance company. Answer: The max that the guilty parties insurance covers. Unfortunately that is rarely over $100k. More often around the $40k to $60k. Beyond that you are going after the driver. Who more often then not can not pay that much. They may get the judgment but expect a bankruptcy shortly there after.

I was in my car bumped a woman(f150) from the back.?

Question: I bumped a woman in f150 i believe from the back. btw this is in oakville, ontario canada. she didnt even had a scrath on her 4x4 . I have a little dent on my front bumper(buick lesabre) . the roads were reall mess that day. ok so i jusssttt bump her. she takes my info and leaves. den we contact andd she tels me her car costs 1150 plus tax for repairs. shes making up so much stuf like the custom plate is broken( it was dented before i even hit her car and I know that because the plate is at a height and in order to hit that i gota hit her metal parts first which are scratchless..) and some more random bulshit. she told me to pay or else she wil claim for her back.. I told her tats not true so then now she went to file a police report reporting her back problems.. now i gota goto the regional police station and they wil check my car and ask questions. . And i am sure she wil go for the insurance claim as well. and I am sure she doesnt have any back pain because she was driving a freakin truck which was scratchles after the scene and i was in a car. Any helpwil be appreciated .. I am in alot of tension as I am only 20 and my insurance can go up bad.. thx alot in advance. um yea I believe she is lying too. and I did take 2 pictures. those pictures show how high the plate is and my camera wasnt that good. I did get her plate number on it. but shes lying for the backpain in the police now.. I dont even think she wil say the number plate thingin the police..
