Car Insurance Just For Girls

In Ontario, is it free on all car insurances for girls with their G1?

Question: My dad isn't sure if it would cost him money on his car insurance if I was to be put on it. But my other friends, who are also girls, were free on their parents car insurance, only while they had their G1. I tried looking online to see if for all car insurance it was free for girls with their G1, but I couldnt find anything that would help. I just want to be put on his car insurance so that I can learn how to drive! Thank you.

Answer: I can tell you with certainty that there is no such rule. No 'girls get in free' type of thing. But adding a G1 driver on a family policy is pretty cheap unless they have a criminal history or some such. You CAN get a discount with most insurance companies if you are an honor-roll student and can show them a report card to prove it.

isnt charging boys more for car insurance more then girls some sort of profiling(cant think of a better word)?

Question: i dont think its fair that as a boy i should have to pay more for car insurance because of statistics i am a very good driver and just because statisticly more boys get into accidents then girls does not mean that i as an individual am more likley to get into an accident

Question: I am a girl going on 17 years old and I finally just got my license. Now my dad and I are looking for the cheapest plan in the cheapest insurance company to go on for my car insurance. Help?

Answer: It really depends on what state you live in but it is best for you to get your ins. policy under your dad's (with him and his car). If you have a g.p.a. of 3.0 or more you can get the good student discount, 3 years or more driving experience with good record you get the good driver discount, you can get the multi-car discount with your dad and his car. In CA with Farmer's insurance if your dad has a good driving record then you can get a discount for having a good driver to look up to as a good influence. Best of luck and congrats!

Answer: Yes, males between the ages of 16-26 pay higher rates than females of the same age bracket. The reason is, because statistics have shown that males in that age bracket tend to drive at high rates of speed, get more tickets, cause more accidents overall, among other things. Depending on the type of vehicle you have, and your rates go higher, Toyota pick-ups will cost you more than a full size older American made truck, Jeeps are costly. Getting good grades, being on a multi-car policy, will help lower the rate, but bottom line, it's gonna be expensive. My rates quadrupled when I added my twins(boy/girl)!
