Do you need a driver license in order to buy a car in Toronto?

Question: Hi: I want to buy a car, but I don't have my driver license yet, hoping to get the G1 next week. I found the car I like and I have the cash available. Need to know if it's necesary to have G full or if there is something I could do. Thank you.

Answer: Are you buying from a private owner or a dealer? If owner probably not but you've gotta get the title somehow and you need DL for that, Good luck

Can I buy a car with ONLY a G1?

Question: Can I buy, insure and register a car with ONLY a G1? I know I need a licensed driver of 4 years to accompany me. It would just be easier to find someone to help me practise if I had my own vehicle. I live in Ontario, Canada 'n' - I'm sure your not a total dumbass and know what I'm talking about. Why would you waste your time writing all that? Yeesh...

Answer: you can buy and register one but as a new driver insurance will be expensive.
