Is it possible to buy a car with G1 licence ?

Answer: You don't need a driver's license to purchase/register a vehicle period in Ontario. Having any license makes it easier, so a G1 works fine.

Question: Hello people, I would just like some info on this subject... I am 28 years old and have recently passed my G1 exam, I'm looking into the driving schools because it will put my waiting period down to 8 months to take my G2 test. Is it possible to get my own car now? Ive been looking at the Pontiac G5's or pursuits...Is this kind of car out of my league right now? The insurance is probably going to be high but i will probably get put on my dads insurance for now. What do you guys think about that? is it possible for me to do this? or is it going to cost a fortune? Could you recommend a better car? Any information you can give me would be great :) Thanks in advanced..

Answer: considering your age, and drivers ed qualifications i dont think youll pay alot. you cant drive alone with a g1, but you can buy a car whenever. maybe start with a lower end car if you want to pay the least possible. call your insurance provider, theyll give you quotes on multiple cars good luck
