G1 Car Insuranceg1 car insuranceForum - Questions & AnswersM2 and G1 car insurance?Question: As I noticed in drivertest.ca site that if you a holder of M2 you can drive G class vehicle under the condition of getting G1. So that means M2+G1 == G2 in one way (I mean G2 won't equal M2 + G1) So anyone have an idea how much insurance I have to pay for getting a car (i know a lot of details here but consider cheap car and no experience at all)? This info about M2 + G1 = G2 is from here: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/gradu/index.shtml "Note: Class M2 and Class M licence holders may also drive Class G vehicles under the conditions that apply to a Class G1 licence holder." Thanks in advance,Answer: You are completely misreading what is states. It states If you have a class M2 or class M you can drive a private passenger vehicle as though you have a class G1 license. However if you already have a class G1 license this does not mean your class G1 becomes a G2 because you have an M2. It's still a class G1, and if you tried violating your G1 restrictions under the delusion that you can "add" licenses together to create a license that you don't qualify for then you are in for a rude awakening when you're pulled over by the police. BTW you don't provide anywhere near enough information to hazard a guess as to the cost of car insurance. Your license class is only one piece of the puzzle, however there's still about a dozen pieces missing. Call a local insurance broker and ask them. ![]() consequences for driving alone with G1 AND without insurance on the car?Question: im 16 years old, and live in Canada, Onatrio.Answer: lose your license, and not be able to get it for some time.. just like speeding now with a g1 u can lose it for 2 years. ![]() |
