Getting Insurance With Only G1

If you have a G Driver's Licence, and put your name with someone's car insurance that only has a G1,?

Answer: If it is their car and their insurance and they added you as a second driver, No. If it is your car, and your insurance with them as a second driver, Yes, a lot of trouble and big bucks for insurance.

Can I get car insurance if I only have my G1.?

Question: I currently have my G1, and have passed a driver training Program and have a couple months left untill I can take my G2 road test. I recently had a car given to me and it is in my name sitting in my driveway, so is it possible to get insurance and be able to drive while having somebody in the car with me with the experience needed? Has anyone done this before does it work can I do it? ...Thank you for the help.

Answer: Unfortunately, I really don't know of any insurance company that would insure a G1. If they did, the amount would be so incredible, that it would probably be cheaper to take a cab everywhere! I know they would insure a parked car though... Good Luck on your future road test!
